Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 August 2026

These terms govern your use of ShootTask. By creating a workspace or using the service, you agree to them.

1. The agreement

This agreement is between you (and, where you sign up on behalf of a company, that company) and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], India. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have the authority to bind it.

2. The service

ShootTask is a hosted project-tracking tool: boards, sprints, epics, stories, subtasks and related features. We may add, change or remove features over time. If we remove something material, we will give workspace owners reasonable notice by email.

3. Accounts and workspaces

  • You must give accurate signup information and verify your email address before using the service.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
  • A workspace has an owner who controls membership, roles and billing. Owners can invite, deactivate and remove members.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload unlawful, infringing or malicious content, or content you have no right to share.
  • Attempt to breach, probe or circumvent the security of the service or another customer’s workspace.
  • Resell, sublicense or white-label the service without our written agreement.
  • Place load on the service that degrades it for others, including automated scraping or bulk API abuse.

5. Plans, trial and billing

  • Trial. New workspaces start on a 30-day trial with Pro features. No payment method is required to begin.
  • Free plan. After the trial, a workspace that has not subscribed moves to the Free plan, which is limited to 5 users and core features. Data is not deleted on downgrade, but access to paid-only features ends.
  • Paid plans. Pro is billed monthly per active user. Pro Annual is billed once per year per active user at a discounted monthly-equivalent rate. The price shown at checkout is the amount you will be charged.
  • Payment. Subscriptions are collected by Razorpay under a recurring mandate you authorise at checkout. We do not see or store your card or UPI credentials.
  • Seats. Your bill is based on the number of active members in the workspace. Adding members may change the amount charged at the next cycle.
  • Failed payments. If a charge fails we will retry and notify the workspace owner. Continued failure may suspend paid features until the balance is settled.
  • Price changes. We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price change affects your workspace.

Cancellations and refunds are covered separately in our Refunds & Cancellation Policy.

6. Your content

You own the content you put into ShootTask. You grant us only the licence needed to host, back up, transmit and display it so we can operate the service for you. We do not use your workspace content to train machine-learning models. [REVIEW THIS SENTENCE AGAINST HOW YOUR AI FEATURES ACTUALLY HANDLE CUSTOMER DATA AND ANY VENDOR TERMS.]

7. Our intellectual property

The ShootTask software, brand, logo and design are ours. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you beyond the right to use the service while your subscription is active.

8. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not commit to a specific uptime percentage on Free or standard paid plans. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where practical. [IF YOU LATER OFFER AN SLA, LINK IT HERE.]

9. Suspension and termination

You may close your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that is used unlawfully, or that has an unresolved payment failure — with notice where the circumstances allow it. On termination you may export your data for [EXPORT WINDOW, e.g. 30 days], after which it may be deleted.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties, and our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data, except where the law does not allow that exclusion.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at [CITY], [STATE] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
