The essentials for running a small team’s work — kanban boards, sprint planning, epics and user stories — without the configuration project that usually comes with them.

A clean kanban board for every project, in either scrum or kanban mode. Drag a card between columns to move work along, and read priority, assignee and story points straight off the card. Each project keeps its own board, so nothing bleeds between teams.

Set a sprint goal, commit stories to it, and follow the burndown as the sprint runs. Story points roll up as you go, and when you close a sprint, unfinished work moves into the next one or back to the backlog — your choice, not a forced default.

Every new project starts with a working five-column board: Todo, In Progress, In Review, QA and Done. Rename them, recolour them, reorder them or delete the ones you never use — and choose which column counts as done for burndown.

Agile project management structured the way dev teams actually think: epics for the big pieces, user stories underneath, and subtasks nested up to four levels deep. Every story carries acceptance criteria, labels, estimates and relationships like blocks or duplicates.
